"7 Minutes is our House's debut perfume, so the pressure was definitely on when creating this. As a vanilla lover myself, I thought to myself that there would be nothing better than to launch a vanilla perfume that represents me and my tastes. I grew up drinking vanilla milkshakes constantly, sometimes with a bit of caramel drizzle, and eventually started making them at one of my first jobs at an ice cream cookie shop in Berkeley, California (Bay Area - shoutout to C.R.E.A.M.!) One of the most popular orders that I memorized like the back of my hand was the salted caramel milkshake. I knew once I had vanilla on the table, I didn't want to make just any vanilla:
it had to be a caramel milkshake.
But it doesn't stop there! I knew a milkshake essence in a perfume would be too cloyingly sweet. I hated the way I smelled at the end of my shift with spilled milkshake all over my work shirts. 7 Minutes needed complexity and depth– which is why Shadi and I decided to make it a contradiction."

The Complexities behind 7 Minutes
In the recent world of gourmands being a direct photorealistic embodiment of the inspiration, 7 Minutes encapsulates the emotion behind the gourmand. The opening is meant to recreate the sweetness of a vanilla caramel milkshake, but it soon develops into an elegant and refined interpretation of vanilla with its super-ambers that sit at the base.
These raw materials were chosen carefully to create a woody depth that maturates the vanilla, while the ambers enhance the caramel into a rich and syrupy base.
It blends both the tradition of Middle Eastern depth and complexity in perfumery with Western gourmand trends, symbolizing what Kheir's intention is with every bottle: the perfect blend between the complexities of identity .

The Raw Materials Behind 7 Minutes
ambrocenide
Debuted and trademarked by Symrise in 2016, Ambrocenide is a molecular ingredient in perfumery often referred to as a "super amber." In its essence, Ambrocenide smells like a dry and woody-amber– but extremely amplified. It's so potent that perfumers often use 1% dilution to experience its desired effect in their creations. Ambrocenide often sits at the base, contributing to the salted and dry ambergris note in 7 Minutes as well as its woody effects. Natural Ambergris has been banned due to humane practices, so Ambrocenide is likely the contributor in ambergris notes in today's perfumes.
Master Perfumer Shadi Samra preferred to use pure Ambrocenide crystals in the formulation of 7 Minutes, versus a diluted liquid. The best takeaway of Ambrocenide in this raw form? It pushes the intensity of the perfume from top to base, where it eventually sits comfortably and leaves a lasting impression.

"delicious & Complex"
I will say when I first ordered it, I wasn’t the biggest fan (it was just alright to me). I forgot about it and two months later found it in my luggage. I decided to spray some of it again and WOW did it smell so delicious and addicting. I became so obsessed/addicted you’d think Siham sprinkled some drugs in there. I guess it just needed to mature/macerate a bit or maybe the ambroxen was caught up on top (which can happen with ambroxen). I then ordered two full size bottles because of how much I adored the scent. I say it smells the best once it becomes a more brownish color (my original 10ml is now a super rich brown color). It also smells stronger and richer over time. All this to say, if you get it and it isn’t love at first sniff for you, set it aside and come back to it a month or two later and see if your opinion changes.

As a blind buy, I trusted that this perfume was going to be amazing! It truly was better than I expected, its starts off as a sweet vanilla and then hints of floral, and ends with a beautiful musk. I will definitely be buying again. So luxurious!
